• Perfect Way to Complete the Trip

This is the finally the last post on my Korea trip in April. Hahahahahaha~

I was just talking to my friend the other day about how awesome this shop is. Mukshidonna (먹쉬돈나) has a lot of outlets all over Korea. The last time I looked, they were opening an outlet on Garosu-gil too.  Their ddeokbokki is cheap and delicious. The first time I brought a female friend to eat for her first time, we ate 4pax portion and paid less than SGD$20 each! What makes it so special is that you get to choose what to add to your wok! Eggs, fishcake, cheese, dumpling, different kinds of noodles… etc. In one week, I ate this twice. It is how good this place is!

On my way to Cube Cafe (located at Cube Entertainment), I walked past this directory to a building. So artistic!

The buzzer to my drink at Cube Cafe. Interestingly, they’ve recently renovated the cafe! I wonder how it looks like now. Gotta make another trip there soon! Heh~

That night was the first time I was going to watch Beast’s Yoseob and APink’s Eunji performance in a musical. I couldn’t believe my luck that I get to see this awesome cast acting in “Full House” musical.

The big billboard listing all the main cast of this musical.

I throughly enjoyed myself. The story of this musical was a light-hearted one to start with, so there were jokes throughout. Sitting at the fifth row is a bonus of course. So close to the stage (blush). Haha~

Returned to the apartment famished. My friend and I decided to order Chinese takeout. 2 Jjajangmyeon (짜장면) and 1 Sweet and Sour Pork (탕수육). We got free dumplings for our orders too! The quantity is too much for 2 of us. We ended up keeping one bowl of Jjajangmyeon for consumption the next day.

The next day was a trip to pet cafe with my friends. It seems like quite a number of artists chose to send their dogs to this particular pet cafe when they are away for a trip. Unfortunately when I was there, I didn’t meet any artists who came to pick up their pets. This adorable dog in my arms knows how to look at my camera. Teehee!

Met my friend for clubbing another day.

Before clubbing, a satisfying meal to fill our tummies. The famous Myeongdong Dumplings!

This was the day I bought this bracelet from WhyStyle, Yesung’s store. He cutely passed me my credit card and smirked. After hopping 2 clubs, the bracelet was gone. Damn… I contemplated going back to the store to buy another one but this bracelet is quite pricey. My fate with this bracelet is too short a lifespan. Sigh~

Helped my friend to buy one in brown colour.

I didn’t take my friend’s advice to go clubbing on a Saturday, and went on Sunday instead. This was such a big mistake. The crowd on Saturday and Sunday really differs. So people, if you ever considered going clubbing in Korea, please go on a Saturday! Below is the moment I realised my bracelet was gone, and my hand was only decorated with the various chops from clubs ㅠㅠ

I went my friend’s house to stay over for the night. The next day’s lunch was Ginseng Chicken at Myeongdong that my friend recommended. I still prefer the Tosokchon Ginseng Chicken I had previously though.

It was soon time for another performance of “Full House” musical! This time, the cast was Beast’s Yoseob and Joo. Joo is BTOB member Ilhoon’s sister. If you ask me, I’d say I enjoy Eunji’s performance better, compared to Joo. In terms of voice, Joo has a higher pitch and sometimes it went out of control. I think Eunji’s voice has a broader range and with the bass in her voice, it is more soothing to the ears.  In addition, Yoseob and Eunji has a better chemistry compared to Yoseob and Joo.

I bought Black Tea Latte from Paris Baguette to complete my dinner with Kimbap from convenience store. The cup sleeve is so fitting for Spring in Korea.

On my last day in Korea, I had to leave for airport at around 4pm. I decided to spend my last day in Mouse Rabbit. My friends were telling me it’s not quite possible that Yesung would come on a Sunday afternoon, and I should just give up my hope. Surprisingly, he really came. Hence I ordered so many times from him and this Mango Bingsu is the bomb. After this bingsu, I really couldn’t stuff myself any further.

What a wonderful way to end my trip. Full of love from this trip, and full of anticipation to my next.

  • In Seoul, Every Day is a Happy Day

After EXO went to this restaurant called “School Food” in the variety “EXO Showtime”, I too tried it with some friends in Apgujeong. Surprisingly, the dishes taste good! Ever since, I’ve been to the restaurant multiple times. It’s a good venue to meet for meals since it’s at the entrance of Garosu-gil, coming from the subway station.

Speaking of EXO, have you watched their new web drama called “EXO Next Door”? There’s English subtitles to the video from their official YouTube channel. It’s funny and there’s my ever-so-adorable Kyungsoo! Here’s episode 1.

Oh, I got distracted. (Coughs) It doesn’t matter how much food I consume. I climb stairs like below everyday. Yes, this is what I tell myself daily to feel less guilty. Haha!

To think I can still see Kyuhyun’s birthday congratulatory message at subway station in April. Lucky!

Met up with my Korean friend for a simple dinner along Hongdae. We weren’t very hungry so some ddeokbokki and odeng is sufficient for us to call it a meal. Even a simple meal like this makes me feel blissful.

There’s all these cute Kakao characters outside Kakao Talk cafe!

Why is my friend so pretty~~~~~~~~ Cam whoring while waiting for the subway.

And after much anticipation, the CNBlue concert in Seoul! Didn’t get a chance to catch Minhyuk’s drum sticks at the end of the concert. Didn’t manage to catch that in Singapore concert either. Forever in the wrong zone where Minhyuk chooses to throw. Pfft~ (Yes, I attended their “Can’t Stop” concert in Singapore too!)

Ready with my light stick and wrist tag to enter the venue!

Such a pleasant surprise to know Yesung is in Mouse Rabbit when the concert ended. We made a decision to cab down to Mouse Rabbit from the concert venue. Seeing my bias after a concert, is there any better way to end the night. (Smiles)

  • April Korea Trip Continues… …

I recalled my trip to Korea last year April was actually the first time I went to Mouse Rabbit, the cafe opened by Super Junior member, Yesung. That’s right, my bias. Everyone has been raving about the cafe because Yesung was there most of the time, and the awesome fan service he gave by taking your orders over the counter. You get to talk to him and shake his hand even. Talk about up close and personal interaction!

There at the nearest subway station, Konkuk University subway station, there was a banner congratulating another Super Junior member, Hyukjae’s birthday. Coincidentally it was his birthday month. Putting up advertisements in subway stations by fansites is actually a norm in Korea. It may be expensive, but it goes to show how much fans are willing to go for their idols.

Mouse Rabbit exterior doesn’t look like this anymore, though. They removed the windows of the outdoor area you see below, and added railings. It’s going to be cold and chilling sitting out here in the winter. I recalled us talking to Yesung’s dad about our concern of sitting here during rainy season. He explained to us patiently that they had to remove the windows due to regulations, and nothing much they could do about it.

Breakfast alone at the quiet Mouse Rabbit is pure bliss. Sweet potato cake and black tea latte. I miss these 2 items so much… … … Even the serviettes design has changed.

Wearing my newly bought 574 New Balance that unfortunately gave me aching legs because I bought a size too small. I love this design so much and everywhere doesn’t have my size. Cries! This pair is now belonging to my mother. And so, my mum now has couple sneakers with my Yoseob my Beast! Humph!

Chanced upon this advertisement at Myeongdong subway station. Couldn’t hide my excitement because I was going to be part of this.

Attempted to get our SIM card in Hongdae and failed due to new regulations in place. Foreigners are no longer allowed to apply for SIM card from the 3 main telcos in Korea: SK Telecom, KT and LG U+. Bad news for us having to enter music broadcasting shows. Had to treat ourselves to a good lunch for the dejection we were feeling. Korean Black Bean Sauce Noodles (Jajangmyeon) and spicy seafood noodle soup (Jjampong). The seafood noodle soup isn’t spicy at all!

On the side, we also added sweet and sour pork (탕수육) but I’m too embarrassed to paste the photo in here. We poured the sweet and sour sauce over the pork. What were we thinking! We should have dipped the pork into the sauce to preserve the crunchiness of the meat. How could we make such a fatal mistake (shakes index finger).

Craving for icy cold cider in this hot weather.

And craving ever so badly for this grilled pork intestine (곱창구이). Chanced upon this shop (강남곱창이야기) in Myeongdong and it happened to be the filming site for drama Reply 1997!

Ending this post with a random selca taken during the same trip. One of those times I was alone in Mouse Rabbit, waiting for Yesung to arrive.

  • O Cherry Blossoms, Where Art Thou

I was super exhilarated about my April Korea trip because it was finally a 3 weeks long break away from work, and best of all, my trip was right amidst the blooming period of beautiful cherry blossoms.

Our arrival time in Incheon Airport was at 9.50pm, so we only expected to reach Seoul at around 12am after the immigrations clearance and luggage collection. As expected, the streets of Hongdae was quiet and empty when we finished our dosage of cider and fried chicken.

The day ended with me breathing the air in Seoul, smiling to myself as I head to bed.

Breakfast was bibim naengmyeon at a random shop outside Ewha Subway Station. The question below pops up once we stepped out of the restaurant. Haha. I wish I could describe to you how excited I was feeling.

Before embarking on my adventures, the first thing I had to do was to visit hair salon! I want to look good in all my pictures for my trip (or at least look decent).

I seriously have no idea how they manage to twist the ends of my hair so they curl inwards and rest so well on my chest. Awwwww~ This is a technique I really need to grasp.

We stopped by Beans’ Bins for some waffle and coffee after the long hours of hair maintenance.

My fate with cherry blossoms has always been thin like ice. I recalled on one of my trips to Taipei in April, my Taiwanese friend confidently told me he’d bring me to a place full of cherry blossoms. Skeptical yet choosing to believe in the fairytale story he painted, I went. We climbed a small mountain in the rain, instead of taking the sheltered train because we wanted to take good pictures of the cherry blossoms. To cut the story short, I didn’t see a single thing because they’ve all withered and died. I couldn’t catch a single glimpse in that weather. The rain washed away even the petals on the floor. That is my very sad story of encounter with(out) cherry blossoms. Naturally I was thrilled and eager to finally be able to see the so magical trees and flowers.

We travelled to Kyunghee University for this purpose as the school has pretty ancient looking buildings that you would expect a princess standing there waiting for her prince.

This is a library! If my school library was this nice, I’d be there everyday waiting for my prince charming (I will be the princess waiting for my prince charming, of course).

Yes, look closely at the pictures above. There are no cherry blossoms at all. Zero. Zilch. None. One week before our travel dates, the weather in Seoul suddenly turned warm. All the flowers decided to blossom a week earlier, before our arrival.

These are the only cherry blossoms I see. On the floor ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I was standing at the above location, messaging my friend in Singapore who visited Korea a week earlier than me, whining about my non-existence fate with cherry blossoms. She sent me a picture taken 1 week earlier, at the exact same spot, full of cherry blossoms. So cruel. Sobs!

    And so, we moved on.

After climbing a very very steep hill, we came to this magnificent building.

This Grand Auditorium also stages musicals and concerts at times.

Ending the post with a picture of me and my travel mate.  On a side note, I am so going to plan another April trip to see my cherry blossoms. (Roars)

  • 이젠 아니야

BEAST new MV was released by Cube Entertainment around 3 hours ago. If you haven’t heard, play the MV below NOW! The lyrics is so heart wrenching sobs… … I hope it touches you too!

The MV male lead is none other than Yong Junhyung. The female lead is an actress, Lee Yubi.

BEAST 비스트 – No More 이젠 아니야

    [DJ] Why are you still
Unable to forget me like a fool
    Like that
    Why am I still
    A good person to you
    A good person
    It’s already been
A few months since we broke up
    Why are you still
    Living in the past memories

[KK] There are lots of good people around you
It’s okay to start a new love
    I sincerely hope
You will smile and be happy

[HS] I can see that you’re struggling
    I can’t start a new love
    Oh yeah
    Again at this late time

[DW] Why did you come find me again
I’m the pathetic one who sent you away
    The sad cries I hear
    Beyond the door

[YS] Why did you come find me again
To me who has already become cold
I don’t have anymore heat That I can share with you

    [DW] No more no more
The person whom you can lean on

[JH] Alright cry all you want
If you can wash me away with that
If you can erase the lingering feelings in your heart
    I’m not someone
Who is worth being hurt over
I’m not someone who is with you
    Like before
    I don’t want to lie
Saying that I’m sending you off because I love you
I’ll be with you just for today
    Hurry up and get up
I can extend my hand to you
But that is only until today

[KK] You know I can’t go back
You can be happy beside me
    Go find someone
    Who will make you smile

[HS] I can see you struggling
    I can’t feel comfortable for a day
    Oh yeah
    Again at this late time

[DW] Why did you come find me again
I’m the pathetic one who sent you away
    The sad cries I hear
    Beyond the door

[YS] Why did you come find me again
To me who has already become cold
    I don’t have anymore heat
That I can share with you

    [KK] Can you stop now
    As time goes by
    I’m so scared
    That you will get hurt
    From my cold exterior

[HS] You just need to live on well so that I can see
    I’m no longer
    Someone you can lean on

[DW] Why did you come find me again
I’m the pathetic one who sent you away
    The sad cries I hear
    Beyond the door

[YS] Why did you come find me again
To me who has already become cold
    I don’t have anymore heat
That I can share with you

    [DW] No more no more
The person whom you can lean on

    Lyrics Translations Credit: @B2STIZEN

While my friend and I were watching the MV, we couldn’t help noticing how pretty the shops in the MV appear. Hence I started my hunt online for the shops. Fortunately the shops are quite accessible in Seoul!

First off, the first scene that appeared in the MV is a store named 1984.

Yes, this is also the place where Junhyung and Yubi took their selca. This is not only a cafe, but also a museum, book store and editing store, featuring Art, Music, Fashion, Life.

The interior of this store looks awesome and too good to miss. (Pictures Source: In Sunho)

    1984
    1F, 158-24, Donggyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Korea 121-898
    Tel: +82 2-325-1984
    Opening Hrs: 12pm – 12am

Junhyung was later checking his phone outside this store called Brown Breath, located in Hongdae. A quick search online indicates that they carry their own brands, as well as outside brands such as Happy Socks, Generic Surplus, and Cheap Monday.

    Brown Breath
    3F, 343-19 Seokyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Korea
    Opening Hrs: 10am – 7pm (Closed during lunch time: 12pm – 1pm)

This time, Junhyung stopped in front of Cafe N Then with a bunch of flowers in his hand. Out came the flashback of how Yubi used to wait for him outside this cafe. This place is nearer to Hapjeong Subway Station.

Some pictures of the cafe found on Foursquare:

    Cafe N Then
    Yanghwa-Ro 6-gil 21, Seogyo-dong Mapo-gu, Seoul
    Tel: +82 2-325-1718
    Opening Hrs: 11:00am – 12:00am

Finally Junhyung and Yubi met behind the restaurant Slunch Factory. This is a vegetarian-friendly restaurant.

This is how the shop front looks like: (Photos Source)

The restaurant interior looks artsy fartsy too, like a warm and cozy cafe.

I’d say the price is quite reasonable too.
    Slunch Factory
    Address: 336-18 Sangsu-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul
    Tel: 02 6367 9870
    Opening Hrs: 12pm – 12am

    Directions
Sangsu Subway Station, Line 6, Exit 4.
After exiting, turn around and walk slightly uphill. Follow the sidewalk as it curves to the right (don’t turn into the small alleys before that). Walk straight, passing Yiri cafe on the left. Slunch Factory will be further down, on the right. It is around 5-7 minutes walk from the subway station.

Another place that appeared in the MV is called Roh Rang Party and Gallery, which also happens to be a flower cafe. Though they called themselves a cafe, don’t expect a coffee menu to be given to you when you enter the store. Other than selling flowers, they apparently also teach flower arrangements.
    Roh Rang Party and Gallery
    Tel: +82 70 7788 7555
Opening Hrs: 10am – 8pm (Closed on Sundays)
    Address: 1F, 394-25 Dongyang Hangang Trevel, Seokyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul
    (Hapjeong Subway Station Exit 5)

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, all the places are in Mapo-gu. I guess you can make a day trip to visit all the places mentioned above! I definitely want to visit all these places that appeared in the MV!!!

In the meantime, keep looping this awesome song on Youtube!

  • Everland in Korea II

I’m determined to bring account of Everland trip to an end today so be prepared for photobomb! Heh~ Continued this post from here.

After lunch, I wanted to wash my hands and found the basin so cute! Duckie~

Then there were even more animals to see.

The sea lions were so clever! See the one above standing! Cute! And the show was such a cooling escapade from the hot summer because the venue is air-conditioned.

We ventured outdoors bravely once again and this picture with monkey king (?) is like a prelude of the many monkeys we gonna be seeing.

And there’s even sea animals like penguins and polar bears.

I was chasing this duck around trying to take a good picture of it but it just kept running. I can’t believe I was playing “Catching” game with this duck! So funny XD

Flamingo! So graceful in its own ways.

There was a crowd surrounding this cutie little thing because he kept fishing into the air with its hands, as though looking for something. Oh I just realized it has crescent shaped eyes!

Hedwig! Have you landed in Korea? Where is your master Harry Potter?

Awwww~ She’s looking at me with her arms crossed! Such a graceful baby!

Here comes the most exciting ride in Everland! Entire roller coaster made of wood including the tracks. This is the 90 degrees drop! There is no safety harness, just a safety seat belt at the waist. The crew was guiding us to do some stretching exercises before the ride to refrain from getting hurt during the ride. I was so nervous before taking this ride, but once I started I couldn’t stop! I went for it twice and still wanted more. This is truly addictive! Everyone please go and try!

My favourite snack, churros, to reward myself after the exhilarating rides. Why can’t I find them readily available in Singapore? Sobs… I was just talking to a Korean on Instagram the other day and she was sharing with me a place that serves good churros in Seoul! I must go try soon! (Nods Head)

Can you spot the roller coaster ride behind me? (Eyes Glittering)

As it’s the rose festival, there were so much flowers everywhere!

Probably because of rose festival, it’s supposed to be romantic. So there were a lot of heart decorations around too. I started off being excited and took as many photos as I could. Gradually… … I got sick of it because I’m always alone. Sobs…

See! Even the chair looks empty with me sitting on it alone. I gave up trying to take pictures with hearts after this. #ForeverAlone

Yes, giraffe reminds me of Ryeowook again. There is a ferris wheel in the background that I didn’t get to sit in. Prolly next time…

The sky started to darken and it was time to leave Everland. I want to come again!

Ending the day with Korean BBQ and Makkoli (Korean rice wine) when we returned to Myeongdong. I hope you’re reading this post at night. This way we can get hungry together and grow fat together at night. (Munches snacks)

Okay… I shall not be mean. Ending this post with the cute fennec fox instead. I took so many pictures of them! I’m not kidding when I said I really want to bring one home as a pet!

    Good night!

  • Everland in Korea

I haven’t been blogging for quite some time, I’m sorry folks. It has been a hectic past few weeks for me. When I’m not busy, I’m just lying around the house staring into blank space. I’ve been trying hard to adopt back a healthy lifestyle.

I conclude that I’m unsuccessful. Well, at least I tried. (Falls back into couch)

In order to make up for my long lost absence, I’m here to fill the space with my trip to Everland in Korea! I hope the pictures will make this post look long. Heh~

It was my first time to Everland and I did some research on directions. I even found different buses taking off from different subway stations that arrive at the same destination. When we arrived at Gangnam Station (Seoul Subway Line 2) exit 10 to take bus, the bus stop with bus 5002 is nowhere to be seen no matter how hard we looked. We asked around and people all pointed to the same direction. Yet, we were still so lost. Until we saw bus 5002 itself not stopping by the road side, but in the middle of the road. We didn’t notice there was another bus stop in the middle of the road. Hahahahaha~ Anyway we managed to run after the bus and boarded.

The travelling time from Gangnam Station is around 50minutes. The bus I got on was so packed and we stood all the way for the entire journey. I was still pining hope on napping on the bus. (Sobs)

Anyway, we finally arrived at Everland after the long and tedious bus ride. Yay!

My entrance ticket with manicured nails. So loving the pink leopard print french tip nails. Teehee! We bought the ticket at $32,000Won after a tourist discount. This is almost half the price for Singapore’s Universal Studio entrance fee. Cheap!

We were in time for the Rose Festival!

There were even rose balls (?) hanging from the trees. LOL!

The castle like buildings were pretty. It may not seem so, but the sun was super glaring.

And here comes my first ride of the day! I didn’t know why I ran into a panic attack when I was queuing for this. I guess I need to warm myself up for rides. It turned out to be a really safe and fun ride. A lot of variety shows were filming on this ride. Do give it a try! It just makes you dizzy. XD

This viking in Korea is the most exciting I’ve tried by far! I’ve only tried viking in Singapore, Malaysia and Korea though. This goes up to almost 90 degrees. I giggled so much because of the kids on the same ride who were screaming their heads off.

Pororo and friends! I think this 3D show is more for kids so I didn’t go in. I thought if we had time, we could always come back. Ended up we were so thrilled with the rides deep in the park that I forgot all about this. I can always come back though… Heh!

    With Pororo and Petty!

Everland is like a zoo and theme park all in one. We decided to take it easy and visit all the animals first.

I couldn’t take pictures with those live animals, so I decided to stick to fake ones.

Nowadays whenever I see giraffes, I think of Ryeowook!

The vehicle is cute alright. But the seat was super hot under the scorching sun. Believe me, my smile stiffened the moment I put my ass on that chair. The zebra driver looks like he’s saying “출발!” (Let’s Go).  LOL!

After a fulfilling lunch under the non air-conditioned canteen, we moved on to see the one and only Liger! He’s the baby of a Lion and Tiger! Cool right!

Look out of our bus window and there’s a bear walking past!

And he looked so poised scratching his back against the tree.

I was contemplating whether to buy this hairband because it’s tooooooo cute! I totally regretted not buying it. Though I have no idea when I could use this if I had really bought it. Ha!

Everland is so so big and I took a lot of pictures. Sharing the rest another day. Ending this post tonight with this picture of too gorgeous and fluffy cute fennec fox sleeping. Don’t you wish you could bring one home and snuggle against it? Awwwwww~~~

    Good night!

  • Ewha Womans University

My trips to Korea mostly includes food, sight-seeing and most importantly shopping. When we speak of shopping, a place not to be missed is definitely Ewha Womans University (이대). The streets just outside this university is bustling with people and I could spend hours combing this place. If you’re taking subway, the stop to alight at is “Ewha Womans University” itself, exit 3.

During my last trip, I went for a haircut and dye. You wouldn’t believe how awful the shape of my hair was in. So many times I suddenly realize I was holding on to the scissors, ready to snap off my hair because it was too irritating. Most of the times I was able to regain my senses in time and put down the scissors to stop myself from cutting and ruining my own fringe further. Yes, I mean ruining further. I didn’t manage to stop myself a couple of times. ㅠㅠ

The moment I arrived at 이대, you were expecting me to charge to the hair salon? Nahhhhhhh~ I must satisfy tummy first. Studies have shown people are more stupid if they do not consume breakfast. Everyone, please eat your breakfast daily!

Breakfast was at Hollys Coffee! Someone recommended the breakfast and said it is something we’d regret if we didn’t try.

This is breakfast for two, I was sharing with my friend. If you ask me, I think sandwiches are alright but nothing fantastic. Drink wise, I find the ice chocolate too sweet. But then again, it would taste awful if chocolate drink is not sweet right? In summary, I am just not an ice chocolate drink person. (Shrugs) Of course you would probably love it if you have a sweet tooth.

After breakfast, I did charge with full speed to the hair salon.

Drinks and snacks while I enjoy the haircut services. The hairdressers were so hip! They used an iPad to display hairstyles and communicate with clients. After our communication, they even asked if I wanted to use the iPad to pass time. It is no longer holding big bulky female magazines!

New hairstyle, new colour! I do find my hair more obedient when I was in Korea. The moment I stepped back into land of Singapore, it wouldn’t stay like this anymore. (Wails) I blame it on the humidity level in Singapore.

With the new hairstyle, it is time to explore the campus of Ewha Womans University!

Despite the pretty campus, I just had to put myself into the picture to ruin it. XD

The sun was setting when I took a tour around the campus. You can see the sunlight glittering on the leaves. Such a beautiful sight~

    Mysterious staircase leading to…?

The campus looks so different in summer, as compared to my last visit in winter. I did walk quite deep into the school and felt so surreal. Though it’s a female university, I do see quite a number of males there. Picking their girlfriends up? So those guys you see there are probably taken?

Anyway, I guess it’s free for anyone to visit and take a walk around the school. Do make your way into the school if you are in the area for shopping or meals!

  • S.M Entertainment

It is now customary that I will pay S.M Entertainment at least one visit, every time I visit Seoul. The surprises you get of not knowing who you will meet there is exhilarating. Like I mentioned earlier, artists I’ve met so far include Girls Generation (SooYoung Yoona Sunny Jessica Hyoyeon Taeyeon…etc) and DBSK (Yunho).

Today, I’m going to share on how to go to S.M Entertainment! Before you rejoice, I must first warn you how far the building is from the subway station. My pictures are all screenshots using Google Map so no complaints on the quality of the pictures please.

Take subway line 3 and alight at Apgujeong Station, exit 2. Turn and walk in the opposite direction of the exit. Turn right around KEB Private Bank.

From here onwards, it is endless walking straight. The following are some shops you will pass by.

Continue walking straight and you will see a big cross-intersection. Cross the road and you will reach a gas station S-OIL.

    Continue walking straight.

Keep walking until you see The Galleria. Cross the road to The Galleria and continue walking in the same direction you were walking in.

You will pass by Louis Vuitton. Cross the road and keep walking straight.

  • Tosokchon Ginseng Chicken

I crave for Korean ginseng chicken so badly and must eat them every time I visit Korea
Regardless of season, be it winter or summer

During winter, all I want to do is sip this hot pipping soup and feel the warmth spread through my body
During summer, all the more we should eat ginseng chicken!
This dish is exceptionally popular during bok days (복날)
Bok days are the three hottest days of the year according to Lunar Calendar
It believed that the nutrients from the dish will protect one from illness and provide strength
I need lots of strength to continue sight seeing in Korea
    Heh~

My favourite store would be Tosokchon Ginseng Chicken 토속촌삼계탕
The location is easily accessible, and most importantly, they serve very yummy ginseng chicken!

How to get to Tosokchon Ginseng Chicken

Take Seoul subway line 3, and alight at Gyeongbokgung Station (경복궁역) Exit 2

Walk straight and these are some of the shops you will see along the way

Turn left at this GS25 shop onto Jahamun-ro 5-gil Road

Tosokchon Ginseng Chicken is right in front of you!

This is how the menu looks like
Usually I order the second option priced at KRW$15,000
