• Happy Parcel Arrived in Mail

    A packaged arrived at my house some weeks back. For the first time since I started work at my new office, I rushed home from work on time.

    Look at the delightful package that sat on Cathay Pacific Airways to my house. The lucky bastard sat on a full fledge carrier while I have been sitting on budget airlines to Korea for the past few trips.

    This is the exact state of my items when I opened the box. All items are bubble wrapped, but things are flying out of the packaging. Fortunately other than my posters, the rest of the items are in perfect condition.

    These are all merchandise sent by Cube Entertainment. As Beast’s fan club is called Beauty, their merchandise are made with the signature rose. Beauty and the Beast… Geddit? I bought two of the below umbrellas, one for myself and one for a friend as birthday present.

    Look at how pretty the rose is. I’m so proud to be holding this umbrella on a rainy day. When opened up, you can see the initials of Beast in Korean hangul.

    This umbrella is so light weighted as compared to the current one I’m using. I’m so going to ditch my current umbrella and carry this Beast umbrella out with me everyday! (Happy Twirl)

    And the highlight of my purchase is this Beast 5th Anniversary Package B.

    The first thing I did was to open these 2 photo books. There were a total of 6 individual members’ photo books given out at random.

    And I got Junhyung and Dongwoon. I’ve only selected a few to take pictures of. Although they are not my bias but one can’t deny that all photos look awesome and the members look so good. I caught myself smiling as I look through the photo books.


    And there’s a blanket that I have no idea when I’d be able to use. Probably bring it up the plane to fight the cold when I’m on my way to Korea? And the entire plane would know I’m a Beauty. Would you give me a kind and knowing smile if you see a fellow Beauty covered in this on the plane?

    And the mug that may look plain here, changes colour when hot water is poured into it. This was indeed a surprise for me as I was just expecting a simple mug. Certainly a lovely twist!

    The very thick “TIME” album comes with a random photo card and a thick photo book.


    At this stage, I was losing heart and thought I’d have to settle for another member’s photo card other than my bias. To my surprise, my bias greeted me with his fixated gaze and look ever so charming in that sweater. SOBS

    I still do have fate with my bias. All hope is not lost!

    Along with the package, I also did some shopping for BTOB merchandise. Their 5th mini album “MOVE”. The random card I got is Ilhoon. Not my bias but I’m not complaining here. Because I’ve got Yoseob photo card! (See above) (Does another happy twirl)

    I got myself a mask because I like wearing mask when I’m overseas. It protects me against the cold in the winter, or even the cold air on the plane. I really do sleep better on the plane with a mask on. I didn’t know the mask would come with glittered words. This is so conspicuous that I am basically shouting “I’m a Melody!” with this on. Well, it does look pretty and non-fans probably wouldn’t know what the logo or the slogan means right?

    Nevertheless, I am super happy with my buys. I am embarrassed to say this, but I am expecting a second parcel from Cube Entertainment at the moment. Until the package comes, I’ll keep mum about what I bought. Do stay tuned!

  • Ewha Womans University

    My trips to Korea mostly includes food, sight-seeing and most importantly shopping. When we speak of shopping, a place not to be missed is definitely Ewha Womans University (이대). The streets just outside this university is bustling with people and I could spend hours combing this place. If you’re taking subway, the stop to alight at is “Ewha Womans University” itself, exit 3.

    During my last trip, I went for a haircut and dye. You wouldn’t believe how awful the shape of my hair was in. So many times I suddenly realize I was holding on to the scissors, ready to snap off my hair because it was too irritating. Most of the times I was able to regain my senses in time and put down the scissors to stop myself from cutting and ruining my own fringe further. Yes, I mean ruining further. I didn’t manage to stop myself a couple of times. ㅠㅠ

    The moment I arrived at 이대, you were expecting me to charge to the hair salon? Nahhhhhhh~ I must satisfy tummy first. Studies have shown people are more stupid if they do not consume breakfast. Everyone, please eat your breakfast daily!

    Breakfast was at Hollys Coffee! Someone recommended the breakfast and said it is something we’d regret if we didn’t try.




    This is breakfast for two, I was sharing with my friend. If you ask me, I think sandwiches are alright but nothing fantastic. Drink wise, I find the ice chocolate too sweet. But then again, it would taste awful if chocolate drink is not sweet right? In summary, I am just not an ice chocolate drink person. (Shrugs) Of course you would probably love it if you have a sweet tooth.

    After breakfast, I did charge with full speed to the hair salon.

    Drinks and snacks while I enjoy the haircut services. The hairdressers were so hip! They used an iPad to display hairstyles and communicate with clients. After our communication, they even asked if I wanted to use the iPad to pass time. It is no longer holding big bulky female magazines!

    New hairstyle, new colour! I do find my hair more obedient when I was in Korea. The moment I stepped back into land of Singapore, it wouldn’t stay like this anymore. (Wails) I blame it on the humidity level in Singapore.

    With the new hairstyle, it is time to explore the campus of Ewha Womans University!


    Despite the pretty campus, I just had to put myself into the picture to ruin it. XD


    The sun was setting when I took a tour around the campus. You can see the sunlight glittering on the leaves. Such a beautiful sight~

    Mysterious staircase leading to…?

    The campus looks so different in summer, as compared to my last visit in winter. I did walk quite deep into the school and felt so surreal. Though it’s a female university, I do see quite a number of males there. Picking their girlfriends up? So those guys you see there are probably taken?

    Anyway, I guess it’s free for anyone to visit and take a walk around the school. Do make your way into the school if you are in the area for shopping or meals!

  • Online Shopping Loots Arrived

    I went online shopping a few days back in year 2012. It was very much needed because my 4 pairs of  shoes were spoilt in 3 consecutive days. I blame it on the rain and the humidity of Singapore. Well, on a positive note, it gave me reasons to shop!

    I visited both Singapore and Korea Gmarket but I think the latter has more designs. Korea Gmarket has English interface, so there is no problem navigating the sites. To my surprise, my loots came within 2 working days all the way from Korea via EMS! I wasn’t expecting delivery so prompt to be honest. Such a pleasant surprise! Teehee~


    Boxes within box! My shoes were safely packed in small boxes above. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them!

    I got a pair of couple flats with my mum. Her’s was the darker blue and mine lighter blue!

    If there’s anyone interested in the sole of the flats at all. Kekekekeke~

    The main reason for my purchase with Korea Gmarket! I needed platforms and they provided more selections. I don’t know why Singapore has so little platform designs. Are all Singaporeans so tall that they do not need such things? I’m not short myself, considering I was accepted to be a cabin crew with an airline in Singapore. I still think platforms are cool, and especially important coming to standing in moshpits for concerts!

    My very comfortable pair of platform. Heh~ Can you notice the different layers of design? I am so happy with the purchase!

    I guess I am very safe with these anti-slip soles. Most importantly, the shoes are not heavy and they don’t bite!

    I’m so gonna bring these shoes out soon, so stop raining please~~~~~~~~~~
