Interview: BEAST ‘Yang Yoseob’, release duet song ‘Talk’ with female indie musician ‘Richard Parkers’

Local greatest idol group BEAST’s Yang Yoseob and talented indie musician Richard Parkers ‘Talk’ is released. Though recently a variety of collaborations are formed, collaboration between popular idol group member and indie musician is unprecedented. The released single ‘Talk’ by Yang Yoseob and Richard Parkers is about memory of first love that could not be forgotten even with the passing time. The song lyrics depicts the farewell that can strike a chord in many and two musicians’ sorrowful voices combined to produce a song with bossa nova imposing R&B sound. Let’s observe in anticipation for the unique collaboration between KPOP star vocalist that receive recognition and talented indie musician.

#1. Eric Benet – [Hurricane]: I listened to this the most during my trainee days and to the extent that a lot is an understatement. I recall practicing a lot to the songs like Cracks of My Broken Heart, Still With You in this album.
#2. Stevie Wonder – [23rd Album A Time To Love] : An album filled with masterpieces like title song Blue Moon. Especially Shelter in The Rain is a song that I think fans should listen to.
#3. Queen – [Live At Wembley’ 86]: This is a live album. Queen’s live is really tear-jerking and full of emotions. I want to share the album with fans with these emotions intact.
#4. Kim Bum Soo – [Kim Bum Soo Again]: A senior that I respect a lot personally. Through senior Kim Bum Soo’s voice that I personally like, the album consists of songs that can be reinterpreted into masterpieces like gems. I really like this album.
#5. Yoon Jong Shin – [11th Album Round The Village]: My personal thoughts.. When listening to senior Yoon Jong Shin’s music, it is neither distant sorrow nor joy. It is like feeling the emotions of everyday life that touches one’s heart even more. I can really feel that through title song What I Should Do Tomorrow.
#6. Lee Moon Sae – [Golden Best 15]: This is the best album. Through the first musical debut with Gwanghwamun Sonata, I listen to and sing a lot of senior’s music. It really is full of masterpieces. This album is considered gem amongst the jewelry.
Chapter 2: What are the musicians that bring about influence to you and the places you like?

The above-mentioned are all great musicians that I received influence from during my trainee days. I liked Eric Benet’s music especially.
Question: Please introduce your 3 favourite places near your house.

#1. Big scale mart: I personally like grocery shopping. It became fairly interesting.
#2. Boxing gym: I relieve stress well by hitting something. I have been hitting sandbags to relieve stress for more than 3 years.
#3. Bandi & Lunis: It gives me a peace of mind because of the silence and I go often. Even if I didn’t read any book, I sometimes gain inspirations just from looking at the book titles.
Chapter 3: Musicians’ taste
Question: Please recommend 3 favourite movie or comic and the reasons.

#1. Wind (Movie): I find it interested and wept hard. A movie I occasionally thought of.
#2. The Fighting (Comic): A must read comic if one likes boxing or martial arts.
#3. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (Movie): An interesting movie that one can marvel at the imagination and colours.
